Industrial Scaffold Builder – Chenier, Cameron LA

About the role

ZACHRY is seeking an experienced Industrial Scaffold Builder to work on the CHENIERE site in Cameron, Louisiana. The role involves constructing, reinforcing, repairing, and dismantling wooden and metal scaffolds and related auxiliary structures.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and gather all tools required for each task.
• Assess safety risks and implement necessary precautions.
• Measure, mark, and cut wood or metal to required specifications.
• Assist with the construction, reinforcement, and dismantling of pre‑constructed scaffolds.
• Build wooden scaffolds, auxiliary items, and miscellaneous structures such as decks, steps, and bulletin boards.
• Maintain clean work areas and ensure proper tool storage.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license and TWIC card.
• Reliable transportation to the job site.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting up to 50 lb, and working at heights.
• Willingness to follow all safety rules, wear required PPE, and work overtime as needed.
• Possession of required hand tools and a metal toolbox with lock.

Required skills

• Knowledge of scaffold construction techniques for wood and metal.
• Proficiency with measuring and cutting tools (tape measure, shot saw, scaffold wrench, open‑end wrench, steel claw hammer).
• Ability to read and follow construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience working with fall protection equipment and PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, ear protection, respirator, gloves, steel‑toe boots).
• Understanding of basic building materials, tools, and processes.
