Industrial Maintenance Technician – 1st Shift (6am-2pm)

About the role
You will be responsible for assessing, fixing, and repairing manufacturing and facilities equipment at our Gibsonton, FL plant. The position works the first shift, Monday‑Friday, 6 am to 2 pm, and includes a weekly pay structure and a sign‑in bonus.
Key responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair electro‑mechanical equipment, researching technical data and procuring parts as needed.
- Perform hands‑on repairs and coordinate contractor support when required.
- Document all maintenance actions in the site’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and assist in training others on its use.
- Support reactive, preventative, proactive, project, and setup maintenance activities.
- Mentor and coach fellow technicians on safe work practices, equipment theory, and best‑practice repair procedures.
- Communicate effectively with associates across departments and help allocate workforce and material resources.
- Perform additional duties assigned by the manager or supervisor.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED required; associate degree, trade school certificate, or military technical training preferred.
- Strong electrical skills with the ability to use multimeters, megger testers, and read electrical schematics.
- Mechanically inclined with proficiency in standard hand and machine tools and the ability to read mechanical drawings.
- At least 5 years of experience working with electro‑mechanical equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States and ability to obtain required export licenses.
- Physical ability to stand 5‑8 hours per day, work on raised surfaces, and climb ladders.
Required skills
- Electrical troubleshooting and testing (multimeter, megger).
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
- PLC programming, robotics, and vacuum system knowledge (plus).
- Mechanical troubleshooting and use of hand/machine tools.
- Reading mechanical drawings and operating shop machinery (presses, grinders, lathes, mills).
- Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
