Industrial Engineer – Costing Department

About the role

VOSS Automotive is seeking a detail‑oriented Industrial Engineer to join its Costing Department at the North American headquarters in Fort Wayne, IN. The role focuses on generating accurate part cost calculations, supporting tooling estimates, and maintaining cost data within the ERP system.

Key responsibilities

• Generate new and existing part cost calculations and detailed cost breakdowns.
• Create and maintain Excel models for complex calculations, data tracking and reporting.
• Estimate production costs for new manufacturing processes.
• Develop Bills of Materials and routings in the ERP system.
• Investigate and resolve ERP costing errors.
• Collaborate with the tooling cost team to estimate tooling expenses.
• Work with the VOSS Automotive Mexico engineering team to keep cycle‑time and setup‑time data up‑to‑date.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience with manufacturing or assembly processes, preferably in the automotive sector.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for calculations and reporting.
• Experience using an ERP system to create Bills of Materials and routings.
