Industrial Electrician

About the role

Dematic is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join its Salt Lake City manufacturing team. You will work in a modern, climate‑controlled facility, building, testing and delivering automation solutions for global supply chains.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics, recommending engineering changes as needed.
• Install electrical apparatus such as switches, motors, control enclosures, lights and photocells.
• Bend and install conduit, solder connectors and perform electrical checkout before shipment.
• Use multimeters, insulation testers and other diagnostic tools to troubleshoot and maintain systems.
• Download PLC‑based programs and program drives according to engineering specifications.
• Operate forklifts or cranes when required and travel to customer sites for commissioning.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical training preferred.
• Four years of practical electrical/electronic/controls experience.
• Ability to follow electrical codes, lift up to 50 lb occasionally and work safely around moving parts and electricity.
• Willingness to travel 25‑35% with little notice.
