Industrial Electrician III (1st Shift)

About the role

Amentum is looking for a 1st-shift Industrial Electrician III for its Mossville Tech Center site. The role covers intermediate-level electrical maintenance in an industrial, large commercial or logistics distribution setting, with typical hours of 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, depending on business demand.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain and repair electrical equipment up to 480-volt 3-phase and facility systems such as RTUs, doors, lighting, VFDs and motor circuits
• Run conduit and terminate wire according to job specifications
• Perform preventive maintenance on industrial electrical control and operating systems as scheduled in the CMMS
• Use the building automation system to track building conditions and equipment operation
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, update prints and modify them as assigned
• Test electrical components (PLCs, AC/DC drives, relays, pneumatics and hydraulics) with measuring and diagnostic instruments
• Follow safety rules including job hazard analysis, lockout/tagout and PPE, and recommend improvements to maintenance methods

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Three years of experience as a maintenance electrician in an industrial environment, or an equivalent mix of education and experience
• Ability to work in an aerial or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders and stairs repeatedly, and work in a physically demanding environment
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain a security access badge; no sponsorship for U.S. work authorization
• Willingness to work overtime, holidays and weekends

Required skills

• National Electric Code (NEC)
• Electrical schematics and electrical testing instruments
• Math skills including arithmetic and conversion of measurement units
• Preferred: 480V 3-phase circuit work, industrial lighting, motor controls, VFDs, rubber production equipment and PC-based work order systems
