Identity & Driver Credential Specialist 1 (MSA) – Savannah

About the role

The Georgia Department of Driver Services is seeking an Identity & Driver Credential Specialist 1 to join its Savannah office. In this full‑time position you will help residents obtain learner permits, driver licenses and state‑issued identity cards while delivering courteous, accurate service.

Key responsibilities

• Issue learner permits, driver licenses and identity cards in compliance with state laws.
• Convert out‑of‑state licenses for new Georgia residents.
• Administer written and road tests for first‑time drivers.
• Interact with a diverse customer base, addressing questions and resolving issues.
• Handle high‑volume center incidents such as irate customers, slip‑and‑falls, and road‑test accidents.
• Potentially serve as a team lead for lower‑level staff.
