ICU Clinical Coordinator – Pharmacy (U Tower)

About the role

The University of Miami Health System is seeking an ICU Clinical Coordinator for the Pharmacy U‑Tower. In this role you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective medication therapy for critically ill patients.

Key responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with all health‑care providers to optimize patient care.
• Advise physicians on drug hazards, dosing errors, and side‑effects.
• Coordinate pharmacy duties, including preparation, labeling, and delivery of medications.
• Ensure all dispensed drugs are recorded and delivered in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Observe and treat patients across health‑care settings while conducting research to advance pharmaceutical care.
• Individualize medication regimens based on pharmacodynamic and pharmacokinetic principles.
• Conduct medication histories, assess compliance, and suggest modifications to achieve desired outcomes.
• Suggest improvements in work methods and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• PharmD degree.
• Active pharmacist license.
• Minimum three years of relevant pharmacy experience.
• Strong work ethic, professionalism, and ability to work independently.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmacy procedures and regulations.
