Human Resources Specialist – Employee Experience

About the role

The Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond is seeking a Human Resources Specialist to join its HR Operations team. In this position you will support the full employee lifecycle, focusing on onboarding, compliance, and the seamless integration of new hires and contingent workers.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate end‑to‑end onboarding for full‑time employees and contingent workers, including background checks, I‑9 verification, and Workday data validation.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for new hires, hiring managers, and vendors to resolve onboarding questions.
• Maintain confidential records and ensure compliance with data‑handling standards.
• Monitor HR activity files, analyze reports, and flag issues for resolution.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects to design or improve HR processes, tools, and policies.
• Analyze workflow data and propose process enhancements.

Required profile

• 0–5 years of relevant HR experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and communication skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.

Required skills

• Workday (HRIS) proficiency.
