Human Resources Manager

About the role

The Human Resources Manager partners with plant leadership to drive employee relations, cultural values, and business goals. Reporting to the Regional HR Manager and plant manager, this role leads the HR function at the facility and manages the HR Generalist.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to improve employee satisfaction, relations, and working conditions.
• Evaluate current HR policies by visiting worksites and communicating with employees.
• Lead and coach the HR team, setting priorities and objectives aligned with business initiatives.
• Administer company policies, procedures, and applicable union contracts.
• Provide counseling and dispute resolution, investigating issues and recommending solutions.
• Design and implement location recruitment strategies in line with corporate goals.
• Interpret and ensure consistent application of company policies.
• Collaborate with Centers of Excellence to create employee development programs.
• Conduct audits and reporting to support continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in an HR environment, preferably managing an HR Generalist.
• Strong knowledge of employee relations, dispute resolution, and union contract administration.
• Ability to partner with plant leadership and influence cultural change.
• Experience developing recruitment and talent development strategies.
