Human Resources Manager – Corporate Workforce

About the role

J.Crew is seeking a Human Resources Manager to partner with the VP of Human Resources and drive the people strategy for its corporate workforce. This senior‑level role will work on‑site, collaborating with shared services and product & sourcing teams to align HR initiatives with business goals.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to advance talent management, performance management, succession planning, DEI, and change management.
• Act as a strategic advisor on people‑related decisions, providing insight into organizational and talent implications.
• Coach and develop business partners to strengthen leadership capabilities.
• Identify and recommend solutions for talent, organizational, and workforce challenges.
• Lead implementation of company‑wide HR programs, ensuring relevance to business needs.
• Drive talent planning processes and assess organizational health, diagnosing risks and proposing mitigation strategies.
• Champion J.Crew’s values and culture across assigned units.
• Serve as the HR expert for employee‑relations matters, including compliance, performance management, and policy interpretation.
• Monitor retail industry trends to provide timely insights and strategic recommendations.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a strategic HR partner or HR business partner in a corporate environment.
• Strong background in talent management, performance management, succession planning, DEI, and change management.
• Ability to advise senior leaders on people‑related decisions and influence business outcomes.
• Excellent coaching and leadership development skills.
• Analytical mindset to assess organizational health and develop mitigation plans.
• Deep understanding of employee‑relations, compliance, and HR policy interpretation.
