Human Resources Generalist

About the role

We are a fast‑growing consumer‑goods and hospitality organization seeking a proactive Human Resources Generalist to manage the full employee lifecycle for both corporate and frontline teams in Manhattan. You will partner closely with leadership to drive recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, benefits, compliance, and culture initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle recruiting: post jobs, screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and support offers.
• Coordinate onboarding, training, and new‑hire integration.
• Serve as the primary HR point of contact for employees and managers.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Support payroll administration and generate HR reports.
• Assist with employee‑relations matters, investigations, performance management, and terminations.
• Administer benefits programs and guide open‑enrollment processes.
• Oversee leave administration and employee accommodations.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Maintain HR policies, procedures, and training programs.
• Partner with leadership on employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as an HR Generalist.
• Hands‑on payroll experience and knowledge of New York employment laws.
• Proven ability to support recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, and HR administration.
• Experience administering benefits and leave programs.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑growth environment.

• Base salary ranging from $68,000 to $75,000.
