About the role
Reporting to the HR Manager, the Human Resource Administrative Specialist provides day‑to‑day HR administration support for the IRC offices in New Jersey and New York. The role assists with recruitment, onboarding, personnel file management, time‑attendance tracking and employee orientation.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee‑lifecycle matters such as recruitment, new‑hire setup, benefits, payroll, leaves of absence and separations.
- Process new‑hire and hire‑change paperwork, coordinate background checks and maintain accurate personnel records.
- Administer the organization’s applicant tracking system, posting job openings and tracking candidates.
- Support time‑attendance management and ensure proper documentation of employee attendance.
- Provide guidance to staff and managers on HR policies and procedures, and assist with special projects and initiatives.
Required profile
- Experience performing HR administrative tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to work under the supervision of the HR Manager and serve as a reliable resource for staff.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when handling employee records and paperwork.
- Familiarity with recruitment processes, onboarding, and employee‑lifecycle documentation.
