HR Representative – Employee Relations & Talent Management

About the role

The HR Representative in Ville Platte, Louisiana supports employees and managers across the full spectrum of HR functions, including hiring, relocation, benefits, performance management, and career development. This role serves as the first point of contact for HR queries and assists the HR Manager in policy design and implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day support to employees and managers on hiring, benefits, compensation, promotions, and performance appraisals.
• Conduct employee information meetings on policies, benefits, and compensation.
• Participate in union‑related meetings when required.
• Assist line managers with interpreting HR policies, performance appraisal tools, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Coordinate internal and external training, recruitment activities, and community events.
• Screen applications, interview candidates, and support onboarding processes.
• Maintain compliance with data privacy, protection guidelines, and relevant legislation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management or a related field, or at least 3 years of HR experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with SAP (preferred).
