HR Manager

About the role

PWORLD is looking for a full-time, on-site Human Resources Manager in Plymouth, Wisconsin. The role covers talent acquisition and onboarding, employee relations and culture, benefits and compliance administration, and performance management. It calls for a natural leader who can communicate well with the Board of Directors, upper management, employees and external candidates.

Key responsibilities

• Talent acquisition and onboarding: recruit full-time and seasonal candidates through job fairs and other channels, conduct interviews, schedule them with internal teams and board members, and run the full recruiting cycle
• Organise and manage the annual Road America job fair
• Set up onboarding and orientation, and track 30, 60 and 90-day check-ins and benefits periods
• Foster employee relations and culture, and draft HR policies on hiring, training, compensation, benefits and employee relations
• Oversee disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigations and exit interviews, and handle grievances confidentially
• Maintain employee records and confidential HR files
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and industry regulations, administer benefits eligibility, enrollment and termination, and guide compensation and benefits trends
• Manage workers' compensation claims, safety follow-up and provider relations, and update employee manuals including state-specific versions
• Monitor time tracking, lead goal-setting and annual performance reviews, and support seasonal staffing needs at public weekend events

Required profile

• 3+ years of general HR experience
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Proven HR management experience, preferably in a fast-paced or seasonal environment
• Experience with recruiting/onboarding, talent management and performance management
• Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance and best practices
• Scheduling experience and ADP experience are a big plus
