HR Generalist – Recruiting & Employee Relations

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to support our fast‑growing manufacturing operation in Baton Rouge. The role will begin with an intensive focus on recruiting and onboarding, then expand to full‑cycle HR responsibilities across employee relations, compliance, and development.

Key responsibilities

• Lead recruiting for hourly and salaried positions: post ads, screen resumes, conduct outreach, and coordinate interviews.
• Manage onboarding and pre‑employment processes to meet aggressive hiring targets.
• Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and HRIS data.
• Assist employees with HR questions, benefits enrollment, and HRIS administration.
• Enforce company policies, conduct investigations, write‑ups, and support employee coaching.
• Track attendance, timecards, and personnel changes.
• Support training initiatives, employee development, and culture‑building activities.
• Participate in compliance reporting, audits, and HR projects as needed.

Required profile

• 3+ years of HR experience, with strong recruiting background.
• Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments is a plus.
• Excellent communication, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS systems.
• Experience using ADP Workforce Now.
• Strong command of Microsoft Office.
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
