HR Generalist – Onboarding & People Operations

About the role

We are seeking an HR Generalist to support day‑to‑day people operations for a growing team. The role focuses on delivering a smooth onboarding experience for new employees while assisting with core HR coordination and employee support.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate onboarding for new hires, both in‑person and remote.
• Manage multiple employee start processes, ensuring accurate documentation, communication, and timelines.
• Monitor the HR inbox, respond to employee questions, and route requests to appropriate teams.
• Partner with internal departments to maintain a consistent experience for incoming employees.
• Provide hands‑on support for general HR administration, including employee records and day‑to‑day coordination.
• Assist with benefits‑related tasks and answer routine program questions.
• Use HRIS tools to maintain accurate personnel information and support reporting needs.
• Collaborate with interns and support staff to organize onboarding activities.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in human resources with generalist‑level responsibilities.
• Proven success handling end‑to‑end employee onboarding in a fast‑paced environment.
• Working knowledge of employee relations, HR administration, and benefits support.
• Ability to balance multiple onboarding schedules and HR requests with strong attention to detail.
• Clear communication skills and ability to work effectively with employees, managers, and cross‑functional teams.
• Comfort working in a hybrid setting with availability to be onsite three days per week in Newark, DE.
