HR Generalist

About the role

The Human Resources Generalist will support daily HR operations for a healthcare provider focused on autism and developmental services. This hands‑on role ensures smooth onboarding, employee relations, compliance, and HR administration in a California on‑site environment.

Key responsibilities

• Execute day‑to‑day HR processes, maintain accurate employee records, and ensure data integrity in HRIS systems.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions, assist with disciplinary actions, investigations, and escalations.
• Maintain compliance with California labor laws, track certifications, background checks, and support audit preparation.
• Support payroll accuracy, manage employee status changes, leave tracking, and coordinate off‑boarding.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives, training coordination, and general HR administrative tasks.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field (preferred).
• 2–3 years of experience in HR or administrative support.
• Basic knowledge of HR practices and California employment laws.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Strong organizational, communication, and confidentiality skills.

Required skills

• Experience with HRIS systems (preferred).
• Detail‑oriented with strong follow‑through.
