HR Generalist

About the role
The HR Generalist will act as a hands‑on partner for Corporate IT, Purchasing, and HR functions while supporting global HR initiatives across multiple regions. This role delivers employee‑relations, performance‑management, talent‑development and compliance services, focusing on a high‑performing technical workforce.
Key responsibilities
- Provide primary HR support for U.S. Purchasing, IT, and HR teams, serving as the main point of contact for employees and leaders.
- Process employee hours in eTime and handle payroll‑related requests such as tuition, shoe, and parental‑leave reimbursements.
- Manage onboarding, orientation, transfers, off‑boarding and job changes.
- Partner with leaders to drive employee engagement, retention and development strategies.
- Oversee employee‑relations matters including attendance, leaves and performance issues, ensuring proper documentation and resolution.
- Support immigration and mobility processes, including visa sponsorship and compliance.
- Coordinate the Co‑Op program for Purchasing and IT, handling recruitment, onboarding and time‑card approval.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition COE on recruitment strategies and hiring needs.
- Facilitate HR lifecycle events: recruitment, onboarding and off‑boarding.
- Assist with workforce planning, organizational changes and succession planning.
- Contribute to career‑development, engagement, retention and talent‑analytics workstreams for global employees.
- Maintain HR data integrity, generate monthly analytical reports and KPIs, and ensure accurate HRIS records.
- Partner with HR COEs (Talent Acquisition, Compensation, Benefits, Immigration, Learning & Development) to deliver high‑value programs.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in HR Business Partner or Generalist roles.
- Ability to make independent decisions with appropriate consultation.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and comfort working in a fast‑paced, matrixed environment.
