HR Business Partner

About the role

Join Bionova Scientific, a fast‑growing biologics CDMO within the Asahi Kasei Group, as an HR Business Partner. You will partner with local leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives and support a hybrid, full‑time workforce in Fremont, California.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Asahi Kasei’s HR team to execute and drive the organization’s HR strategy.
• Act as HR advisor on workforce planning, organizational development, talent management and employee relations.
• Manage a heavy recruitment workload, coordinating with internal recruiters and temporary‑staffing agencies.
• Implement HR programs with the Shared Services team, covering talent acquisition, onboarding, training, performance management, compensation, benefits, employee engagement, compliance and HR operations.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. and international employment laws, maintaining policies and governance.
• Oversee employee‑relations matters, conduct investigations and provide guidance on performance and conflict resolution.
• Lead annual performance review and salary planning activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as an HR Business Partner or equivalent HR advisory role.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. employment regulations and best‑practice HR policies.
• Proven ability to influence and partner with senior leadership.
