Housing Support Coordinator – Region 3 Field Office

About the role

The Housing Support Coordinator will work in the Region 3 Field Office, supporting individuals and providers to ensure access to recommended housing services. The position is hybrid, requiring at least three days per week in the office and includes up to 30% travel.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Supportive Housing Initiative, Georgia Housing Voucher Program, and Bridge Funding Program.
• Oversee supportive housing contracts, data collection, analysis, and compliance.
• Evaluate applications for state‑funded rental assistance and resolve housing barriers for individuals with serious mental illness.
• Conduct field reviews of housing placements, address deficiencies, and handle complaints from clients and property owners.
• Represent DBHDD in community forums, outreach to private property owners, and coordination with institutional settings.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and four years of relevant experience (or equivalent).
• Understanding of recovery principles and knowledge of ACT, ICM, CST, and case management a plus.
• Strong leadership, project management, and customer service skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of housing principles and programs, including “Housing First” and federal rental assistance.
• Ability to interpret program descriptions, evaluate documentation for compliance, and conduct data analysis.
