About the role
The Housing Inspection Assistant (HIA) is a seasonal summer position supporting turnover operations at Greystar’s Woodland Glen student‑living community. The role ensures that residential units are inspected for quality and readiness after cleaning, painting, flooring and other turnover work, helping to maintain consistency and accelerate move‑in timelines.
Key responsibilities
- Inspect units after cleaning, painting, flooring, and other turnover work to verify completion and quality.
- Document deficiencies or incomplete work and report issues promptly to the appropriate team.
- Ensure consistency across all resident units and adherence to company standards and schedules.
- Assist in preparing rooms for move‑in by confirming readiness and addressing any identified issues.
Required profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; current student or recent graduate preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow inspection checklists.
- Good communication skills for reporting findings to maintenance and housekeeping teams.
- Physical ability to walk through units and perform basic inspections.
Required skills
- Basic knowledge of residential unit components (walls, floors, fixtures).
- Familiarity with inspection documentation or checklist tools.
