Houseparent (Couple) – Full-Time Residential Care

About the role

Cookson Hills is seeking a Christian couple to serve as houseparents, providing 24/7 care and guidance for 6‑10 placed children in a ministry‑provided home. This full‑time calling blends daily caregiving with spiritual mentorship in a Christ‑centered environment.

Key responsibilities

• Create a loving, structured, Christ‑centered home environment.
• Model and reinforce consistent expectations and consequences.
• Lead daily family devotions and support spiritual growth.
• Partner weekly with case managers and support teams to review progress.
• Assist with homework, meal preparation, and household management.
• Provide guidance on emotional regulation, money management, and personal development.
• Handle medications, appointments, and required documentation.
• Participate in family, school, and community activities.

Required profile

• Resilient and able to handle the demands of 24/7 caregiving.
• Nurturing and compassionate toward children with trauma backgrounds.
• Organized with strong household management skills.
• Passionate about helping children heal and thrive spiritually.
