Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Residence Inn by Marriott Danbury is hiring a Housekeeping Supervisor in Danbury, CT. The supervisor leads the housekeeping team so that brand and hotel guest-service standards and sustainability goals are met. The listed pay is $18.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise housekeeping staff and train, schedule, coach and support them to meet brand and hotel standards
• Screen job applicants and hire new employees when housekeeping associates are HHM employees
• Train staff to clean rooms efficiently, or partner with external vendors to ensure proper training
• Communicate guest service scores to drive improvement and higher guest satisfaction
• Issue cleaning supplies and equipment, and occasionally clean rooms or assist staff
• Address performance and behaviour concerns directly with HHM associates or through vendors
• Supervise laundry employees if applicable, and prepare work schedules or give vendors occupancy forecasts
• Follow sustainability guidelines such as the EarthView program, and follow safe work habits, protective equipment, MSDS and OSHA standards
• Assist in the breakfast area as needed and perform other duties requested by management

Required profile

• High school diploma preferred
• Previous housekeeping experience or equivalent training required
• Previous supervisory responsibility preferred
