Housekeeping Associate - Event Venue

About the role

Legends Global is hiring a Housekeeping Associate for the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City. The associate keeps all general areas, restrooms, dressing rooms, entrances, stairwells, elevators, escalators and exteriors clean before, during and after events. The work is fast-paced and requires attention to detail, the ability to follow verbal instructions and to work well under pressure.

Key responsibilities

• Detail cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, wiping down areas, emptying and replacing trash bins, and cleaning up spills and fluids throughout the venue.
• Respond professionally to housekeeping calls during and after events and report facility damage promptly.
• Control housekeeping equipment such as vacuums, brooms, mops, buckets, wringers, toilet brushes, garbage liners, cleaning cloths, gloves, masks and cleaning solutions.
• Maintain a neat appearance and wear the proper uniform as directed by management.
• Clean, re-stock and maintain restrooms and supply rooms.
• Follow safety protocols, attend required training, and assist coworkers to keep the workplace positive.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0-1 year of custodial experience in a large multi-use facility.
• Able to understand and follow verbal and written instructions in English.
• Dependable, able to meet deadlines and work flexible shifts including overnights, weekends and holidays.
• Physical stamina: continuous, repetitive work lifting up to 30 lbs for more than 6 hours, kneeling, bending, stooping, carrying trash and buckets, and exposure to fumes, wet floors, dust and noise.
• Professional manner with building staff, clients, guests and supervisors.

Preferred: prior cleaning experience with methods, supplies and equipment, though full training is provided. The employer may change the job description and may ask employees to perform duties outside their normal scope.
