Housekeeping Assistant – Guest Areas

About the role
The Housekeeping Assistant ensures that public areas of the hotel remain clean, safe, and welcoming for guests. Working closely with the housekeeping team, this role focuses on maintaining hallways, elevators, and shared facilities throughout the property.
Key responsibilities
- Clean guest hallways and corridors, removing trash from bins, carts, and guest rooms and depositing it in the dumpster.
- Thoroughly vacuum hallways, elevators, carpet edges, and stairwells; shampoo carpets and mop floors as needed.
- Clean vending areas, including ice machines, candy machines, and soda machines.
- Dust light fixtures, fire‑extinguisher boxes, railings, and other hallway fixtures.
- Collect soiled linen from housekeeping carts and transport it to the laundry room using laundry carts.
- Restock housekeeping carts with clean linen for room attendants.
- Gather dirty glasses from guest rooms and deliver them to the dishwasher; restock clean glasses as required.
