Hotel Guest Night Auditor (Part‑time)

About the role

The Hotel Guest Night Auditor provides courteous guest service during the late‑evening and early‑morning hours while ensuring accurate front‑office accounting. This part‑time position works two days a week and acts as Manager on Duty when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and register guests, assign rooms, and handle special requests while maintaining privacy.
• Balance cash and credit‑card transactions, post charges, compute bills, collect payments and make change using the property management system.
• Promote hotel amenities, sell services, and encourage repeat business through reservations and recommendations.
• Respond to guest inquiries, resolve issues professionally, and maintain clear communication with management and staff.
• Perform Manager on Duty duties, including safety and security oversight and handling late‑night operational matters.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a branded, quality hotel (preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience in accounting or financial handling is a plus.
• Demonstrated professionalism, honesty, punctuality and strong attendance.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Manager on Duty functions and hotel safety/security procedures.
• Cash and credit‑card handling, balancing charges, and reservation procedures.
• Proficiency with a Property Management System (PMS) for posting charges, billing and payment processing.
• Excellent phone etiquette and ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
