Hotel General Manager - Fairfield Inn & Suites Columbia

About the role

Blue Sky Hospitality Solutions is seeking an experienced, hands-on Hotel General Manager for the newly renovated Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Columbia, Missouri. The GM has full responsibility for the hotel's operational, financial and cultural performance, and the role suits a proven hotel GM, an accomplished Assistant GM or a senior operations leader ready for the next step.

Key responsibilities

• Lead hotel operations: Front Office, Housekeeping, Engineering, complimentary breakfast and Guest Services, with Marriott brand standards and Blue Sky operating expectations
• Recruit, onboard, train, coach and retain staff, set performance expectations and ensure appropriate staffing and scheduling
• Monitor guest feedback and Marriott performance metrics, lead service recovery and prepare for Marriott quality-assurance reviews
• Own the budget, forecast, P&L, labor productivity and profitability, and partner with Sales and Revenue Management to grow occupancy, ADR and RevPAR
• Maintain compliance with safety, life-safety and regulatory requirements and keep Marriott training and certifications current

Required profile

• Progressive hotel leadership experience, preferably in a Marriott-branded or comparable select-service hotel
• Previous GM experience preferred; Assistant GMs and senior operations leaders also considered
• Marriott systems and brand experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business or a related field preferred but not required
• Ability to work on-site in Columbia, Missouri, with schedule flexibility
