Hospitalist Physician – Inpatient Medicine

About the role

The Brooke Army Medical Center is seeking a qualified Hospitalist Physician to provide comprehensive inpatient care and support outpatient clinics as needed. This position is a direct‑hire, full‑time role within the Department of Defense’s premier medical facility.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the day/night/weekend Hospitalist for Inpatient Medicine.
• Admit, treat, and discharge patients on the medical wards.
• Perform advanced examination, diagnosis, and treatment of internal medicine cases.
• Supervise and mentor students, residents, and advanced practice providers.
• Participate in academic faculty duties, including teaching and training.

Required profile

• U.S. citizenship.
• Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine.
• Experience in inpatient hospital medicine preferred.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.

Required skills

• Internal Medicine clinical expertise.
