Hospice Chaplain

About the role

We are seeking a compassionate Hospice Chaplain to provide non‑denominational spiritual and emotional support to patients, families, and caregivers navigating end‑of‑life care. As a valued member of an interdisciplinary team, you will help ensure dignity, peace, and connection for those we serve.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver spiritual and emotional care aligned with each patient’s beliefs, values, and cultural background.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, collaborating with nurses, social workers, aides, and medical staff.
• Assess spiritual needs and create individualized care plans.
• Conduct visits, prayers, blessings, and rituals as requested.
• Provide grief, loss, and bereavement counseling to families.
• Build relationships with local faith leaders and community resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and outcomes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in theology, religion, human services, counseling, psychology, sociology, or related field (or state‑specific equivalent).
• At least one unit of ACPE‑accredited Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE).
• Commitment to inclusive, non‑denominational care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
