High School Tutor – In‑Home & In‑Person (Miami Beach)

About the role

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking energetic, certified teachers or subject‑matter experts to provide in‑home, one‑on‑one tutoring for high‑school students in Miami Beach. You will tailor instruction to each learner’s needs, covering core subjects and test preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver academic support across high‑school subjects such as mathematics, English, science, and social studies.
• Create supplemental assignments and enrichment activities to deepen understanding.
• Provide SAT and other standardized‑test preparation, including strategies for math, reading, and writing.
• Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about student progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree and at least one of the following: valid Florida teaching certificate, student‑teacher status, two+ years of private/charter teaching, university lecturing experience, or graduate‑level teaching assistant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to tutor high‑school students in multiple subjects, especially mathematics.
• Experience with SAT or other standardized‑assessment preparation is strongly preferred.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to excellent customer service.
