Health and Benefits Summer Intern - College Program 2027

About the role

Marsh is looking for a summer intern for its Health and Benefits team within the People and Investments business, based in Tampa, Florida. The internship runs from Monday, June 7th to Friday, August 13th, 2027, with no alternate start or end dates allowed. It is a hybrid role requiring at least three days per week in the office, and candidates must be available for the full period.

Key responsibilities

• Collect and analyze healthcare claims and utilization data, including cost projections and evaluations
• Support the Request for Proposal (RFP) process on behalf of clients
• Assist senior consultants in reviewing client needs, identifying approaches and supporting implementation strategies
• Model employee benefit contributions to help meet employer objectives
• Help prepare client deliverables such as reports, spreadsheets and presentations
• Support the National Survey of Employer-Sponsored Health Plans to create benchmarks of employer health and benefits plans

Required profile

• Progress toward a bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, statistics, economics, health administration, health policy or a related major
• Currently enrolled in a college or university with an expected graduation date of Spring 2027 or Fall 2027
• Preferred minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0
• Permanent, ongoing U.S. work authorization without the need for sponsorship now or in the future
• Availability for the full internship period, June 7 to August 13, 2027
• Preference for candidates living locally in the Tampa area

Required skills

• Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of data analysis, project management and presentation design
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
