About the role

The State of Georgia is seeking a Health Aide 2 (HCS021) to join the Georgia Regional Hospital – Atlanta in Decatur. This full‑time position provides basic patient care, supports daily living skill development, and assists with clinical tasks under the direction of nursing staff.

Key responsibilities

• Answer client call signals and respond promptly.
• Assist with medication administration, take vital signs, and collect specimens as directed.
• Provide personal care including bathing, grooming, dressing, and feeding.
• Facilitate recreational and social activities for clients.
• Observe, document, and report patient behavior, data, and activity.
• Transport clients to treatment areas using wheelchairs or stretchers.
• Prepare clients for examinations and treatments.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED.
• Minimum six months of direct‑care experience or recent related military service.
• At least one year of experience in a Health Aide 1 (HCS020) role or equivalent.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.

Required skills

• Basic computer proficiency.
