Header Welder – 2nd Shift

About the role

As a Header Welder on the 2nd shift you will fabricate and repair metal headers using a variety of welding processes. The position supports production at Alfa Laval facilities in Tulsa and Broken Arrow, Oklahoma.

Key responsibilities

• Read blueprints and work orders to determine weld procedures, header layout, and plate thickness.
• Operate MIG welding machines, flux‑core welders, oxy‑acetylene and sub‑arc torches to join metal components.
• Perform layout, fit‑up, and pre‑heat of non‑ASME water‑jacket headers.
• Complete preventive‑maintenance checklists and routine machine upkeep.
• Handle material distribution, operate crane and hoist for loading and unloading heads.
• Assist the Team Lead, train coworkers, and cross‑train in other departments as needed.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED with relevant welding experience.
• Pass a Pulmonary Function Test when working on stainless steel.
• Minimum one year of manufacturing or industrial experience.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and basic math measurements.
• Successful completion of the G Welder test and proficiency in English.
