Head of Finance

About the role

Pylon is seeking a Head of Finance to build and lead its finance function from the ground up. You will partner directly with the founders and GTM teams to drive evidence‑based decisions and scale the business from $10M to $100M ARR.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement the full finance stack, including accounting, FP&A, and real‑time burn visibility.
• Collaborate with GTM to align revenue operations, CAC, payback periods, and unit economics.
• Develop multi‑year financial models and scenario planning for revenue, hiring, and cash burn.
• Provide strategic financial analysis for headcount, sales targets, and major contract negotiations.
• Leverage modern finance tools to automate processes and avoid building a large team.

Required profile

• 5‑10 years of finance leadership experience, including scaling a company from $10M to $100M ARR.
• Background in investment banking, private equity, or high‑growth startup finance.
• Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow dynamics.
• System‑builder mindset with comfort using modern finance tooling.
