Head of Finance

About the role

Virio is building the next‑generation B2B GTM stack and needs a senior finance leader to create and run the finance function from the ground up. This role is central to a performance‑based pricing model where revenue recognition, accounts receivable and cash‑flow financing are core strategic levers.

Key responsibilities

• Own the finance function end‑to‑end – reporting, controls, FP&A, cash management and compliance.
• Design and implement revenue‑recognition and accounts‑receivable processes for outcome‑linked contracts.
• Forecast and model cash flows tied to client performance, quantifying risk and variability.
• Develop capital strategies, including revenue‑based financing and working‑capital facilities.
• Partner with the CEO and leadership on pricing, deal structuring and strategic decisions.
• Deliver timely management accounts, board materials and financial insights for major decisions.
• Manage cash, liquidity and working capital, addressing the timing gap between earned revenue and cash collection.
• Build and lead a finance team as the company scales.

Required profile

• Qualified accountant (CPA or equivalent) with significant post‑qualification experience leading a finance function.
• Strong technical accounting foundation, internal‑control expertise and management reporting skills.
• Experience or strong appetite for performance‑based, revenue‑share or usage‑based pricing models.
• Exposure to revenue‑based or receivables financing is a major plus.
• Deep understanding of B2B go‑to‑market fundamentals.
• Founder‑mindset: ownership, initiative and ability to create structure where none exists.
• Excellent judgment and clear written and verbal communication.
