Head of Design

About the role

Subscribe is a growing enterprise‑software company building a platform for alternative investment onboarding, investment and reporting. As Head of Design you will shape the visual and interaction language of the product and influence strategic decisions across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain a cohesive design vision and standards across all products, ensuring a high‑quality end‑to‑end experience.
• Lead discovery work for complex problems, drive research plans, synthesize insights and translate them into product requirements together with product and engineering leaders.
• Own and evolve the design system at scale, establishing governance, component libraries and contribution workflows.
• Design critical user flows end‑to‑end: create wireframes, high‑fidelity screens and interactive prototypes in Figma, write component specifications and collaborate with frontend engineers on implementation.
• Mentor and grow a small design team, oversee hiring, capacity planning and career development.

Required profile

• 7–10+ years of product/UI/UX design experience, with 2–3+ years leading designers or major workstreams for complex SaaS products.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating system thinking, elegant interaction design and measurable outcomes at scale.
• Proven ability to conduct user research, synthesize findings and connect them to product strategy.
• Excellent stakeholder management and storytelling skills, comfortable presenting to executives and customers.
• Experience mentoring designers and improving team processes, velocity and quality.

Required skills

• Figma for wireframing, high‑fidelity design and prototyping.
• Design systems and component architecture expertise.
• Collaboration with frontend implementation (e.g., HTML/CSS, JavaScript frameworks).
• UX analytics and measurement techniques.
