Head of Capital Formation

About the role

The Head of Capital Formation will lead all fundraising activities for MUSEDATA, a global growth‑equity platform focused on VC‑backed enterprise software and AI companies. This full‑time, on‑site role works closely with investment teams to design and execute capital‑raising strategies targeting institutional investors, family offices, and capital partners.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies aligned with the firm’s growth objectives.
• Source, engage, and build long‑term relationships with prospective limited partners, including endowments, foundations, pension funds, and family offices.
• Manage the end‑to‑end fundraising process, from preparing marketing materials to coordinating roadshows and overseeing fund closes.
• Maintain and update CRM systems, fundraising pipelines, and reporting dashboards.
• Collaborate with investment teams to craft messaging, LP communications, and fund structuring.
• Oversee LP reporting, portfolio reporting, and fund economics analysis.
• Refine go‑to‑market strategy and contribute to overall firm positioning.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in capital formation, investor relations, or fundraising within private equity, growth equity, venture capital, or alternative investments.
• Established network of institutional investors and a track record of successful fund closes.
• Strong strategic thinking, pipeline management, and relationship‑building capabilities.
• High professionalism, discretion, and integrity in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.

Required skills

• Advanced financial acumen regarding fund economics and portfolio reporting.
• Expertise in developing fundraising materials and pitch decks.
• Deep understanding of enterprise software, enterprise AI, and growth‑stage company dynamics.
