Harvest Floor Production Worker

About the role

Join Redwood Farms Meat Processors on the harvest floor, where you will play a vital part in processing hogs into high‑quality meat cuts. This hands‑on position involves cleaning, preparing, and inspecting meat while ensuring compliance with USDA regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Receive stunned hogs, perform exsanguination, and hang carcasses on the rail system.
• Wash carcasses, prevent foreign material contamination, and remove undesirable by‑products.
• Operate and monitor offal washing equipment, ensuring product quality.
• Package, weigh, label, and palletize offal products; notify shipping when ready.
• Communicate with USDA inspectors for carcass approval.
• Transport materials using a trolley and report equipment issues to maintenance.
• Cross‑train in other production areas and provide backup support.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and food‑safety policies.

Required profile

• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred; food or hog processing is a plus.
• Ability to safely handle knives and cutting tools.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to regulatory compliance.
