Harvest Cellar Worker

About the role

We are looking for a Harvest Cellar Worker to support daily harvest and cellar operations at Stonewall Canyon Winery. The role involves handling grapes, maintaining equipment, and ensuring safe, high‑quality wine production in a fast‑growing CPG environment.

Key responsibilities

• Sanitize tanks and cellar equipment and perform daily tank checks.
• Sample, receive, sort, crush grapes and convey them to fermentation tanks.
• Set up tanks with glycol, compressed air, inert gas and manage pump‑over operations.
• Conduct drain and press operations following safety protocols.
• Prepare, sanitize, fill and empty barrels; move wine and juice between tanks, barrels and tanker trucks.
• Make wine or juice additions after supervisor verification.
• Operate centrifugal, positive‑displacement and air pumps and record routine data.
• Handle basic chemical additives, cleaners and gases (N₂, CO₂, Argon, SO₂).

Required profile

• High school diploma; college degree preferred.
• Willingness to work varied shifts and overtime.
• Ability to enter confined spaces and read work orders.
• Physical capacity to stand, walk, sit and lift up to 55 lb.
• Independent work style with strong attention to detail.

Required skills

• Tank and equipment sanitation.
• Grape sampling, crushing and conveyance.
• Operation of centrifugal, positive‑displacement and air pumps.
• Use of D.O./O₂ meters.
• Basic knowledge of chemical additives, cleaners and gases (N₂, CO₂, Argon, SO₂).
