Guest Service Agent

About the role

Join the front‑desk team at Le Méridien Houston Downtown and be the first friendly face guests encounter. You will greet, register, and assist guests while upholding brand and sustainability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Greet guests, register them, assign rooms, and verify payment methods.
• Make, confirm, and modify reservations using the PMS system.
• Compute bills, collect payments, handle change, and perform basic bookkeeping.
• Respond promptly to guest requests, resolve complaints, and elevate issues when needed.
• Secure guests' valuables in the hotel safe or safe‑deposit boxes.
• Assist in the breakfast area, handle luggage, and support peak‑period staffing needs.
• Maintain awareness of guest satisfaction scores and work to improve them.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• Previous customer‑service experience or equivalent training.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work varied schedules, including holidays, weekends, and alternate shifts.

Required skills

• Knowledge of property management system (PMS) platforms.
