Area Market Leader – Greater Houston

About the role

The Market Coach leads the Houston market, overseeing 20‑30 Taco Bell restaurants, 900+ team members and $54M+ in annual sales. Reporting to the Regional Director, you are accountable for people, customer, operational and financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop Area Coaches and Sr. Area Coaches to drive strong people, customer, operational and financial results.
• Own market performance metrics (sales, margin, flow‑thru) and use data to identify opportunities and remove barriers.
• Build a deep leadership bench through talent planning, succession and coaching.
• Translate brand standards and initiatives into repeatable market routines and a culture of accountability.
• Lead change by implementing new technology, operating models and enterprise priorities.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety, OSHA and local health regulations.
• Influence cross‑functional partners to solve complex market challenges.

Required profile

• 8+ years of multi‑unit operational leadership in a high‑volume, customer‑focused environment.
• Proven ability to lead through other leaders, creating clarity and accountability.
• Experience coaching Area Coaches, General Managers and building a talent pipeline.
• Strong business acumen to synthesize performance trends and drive sustainable growth.
• Comfort operating in ambiguity and leading significant change.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across multiple functions.
• Willingness to work flexible hours with a visible field presence.
