Group Facilitator – Recovery Programs

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Group Facilitator to lead workshops, seminars, and support meetings within the Divided Sky Foundation’s residential recovery program. The role involves coordinating educational activities, mentoring recovery assistants, and fostering a supportive environment for individuals in recovery.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and oversee all DSRRP educational workshops, seminars, and recovery meetings.
• Lead group sessions of 8‑10 participants covering mindfulness, emotional sobriety, 12‑step programming, and other recovery topics.
• Provide motivational guidance and support to individual participants.
• Maintain detailed attendance and participation logs to monitor guest progress.
• Supervise and mentor Recovery Assistants and Recovery Coaches.
• Ensure confidentiality and adherence to DSRRP privacy policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in community or human services.
• Proven experience facilitating addiction recovery groups or educational workshops.
• Credential in substance‑use prevention or recovery (preferred).
• Ability to work with individuals at various stages of sobriety and adapt approaches accordingly.
• Lived experience in recovery and at least one year of sobriety (preferred for guest‑facing roles).
• Knowledge of the 12‑Step program and mindfulness‑based recovery methods.
• Demonstrated supervision and planning skills.
• Ability to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
