Groundskeeper/Porter for Union Grantville Student Living

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Groundskeeper/Porter to maintain the Union Grantville student‑living community in San Diego. You will ensure the property’s grounds, common areas and amenities are clean, safe and visually appealing while supporting the service team.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day, removing litter, debris and pet waste from all common areas and amenities.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and keep storage spaces tidy.
• Perform minor and routine service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with make‑ready turnovers.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool gates and other safety devices function correctly.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA training and report accidents or incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to work independently, follow safety protocols and handle physical tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
