Groundskeeper / Porter for Wiregrass Community

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter will maintain the physical appearance and safety of the Wiregrass community at Stone Oak. This position supports the service team by keeping common areas, amenities, and surrounding grounds clean, orderly, and welcoming for residents and guests.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet waste, ensuring all common areas and amenities remain tidy.
• Remove trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process, transport it to dumpsters or storage areas, and keep storage spaces clean.
• Complete minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager, and assist the make‑ready specialist during unit turnovers.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify that pool gates operate safely and meet code requirements.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or dangerous situations to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions, and address maintenance‑related complaints sensitively.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA and safety training, and report accidents or incidents accurately.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders, reach, carry objects and work in confined spaces.
• Capability to work both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow risk‑management policies.
• Professional, respectful communication skills for interacting with residents and team members.
