Groundskeeper / Porter for Apartment Community

About the role

The Groundskeeper/Porter is responsible for maintaining the physical appearance and functionality of the Hardy Yards Apartment Homes community in Houston, Texas. This role supports the service team by ensuring common areas, amenities, and grounds are clean, safe, and presentable.

Key responsibilities

• Inspects the community throughout the day to remove litter, debris, and pet droppings, ensuring all common areas and amenities remain neat and free of litter at all times.
• Removes trash and remaining items from vacant apartments prior to the make‑ready process, transfers trash to dumpsters or storage areas, and keeps storage areas clean and organized.
• Completes assigned minor and routine service requests as directed by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager.
• Assists the make‑ready specialist during apartment turnover, supporting the turn process.
• Changes all locks in accordance with the property’s policy, maintaining security standards.
• Maintains equipment used for grounds and interior upkeep and reports any maintenance issues.

Required profile

• Must be reliable, able to work independently, and follow established property policies and procedures.
