Groundskeeper for The Westheimer Community

About the role

The Westheimer community is seeking a dedicated Groundskeeper to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of its outdoor spaces and amenities. This role supports the service team and ensures the property’s curb appeal meets Greystar’s high standards.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect common areas throughout the day, removing litter, debris, and pet waste to keep all spaces tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant apartments before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Complete minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with apartment turn‑overs.
• Change locks according to property policy and verify pool gate operation complies with safety codes.
• Distribute resident notices and communications as needed.
• Report any hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answering resident questions and addressing maintenance complaints.
• Participate in safety meetings, complete required OSHA training, and report accidents accurately.

Required profile

• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Ability to stand, walk, sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing ladders, and crawling in confined spaces.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
