Groundskeeper – Community Maintenance

About the role

The Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the appearance and safety of the Ovation Apartments community in Wichita. This role ensures that all outdoor areas, amenities, and common spaces are clean, well‑kept, and meet Greystar’s standards of curb appeal.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect the property throughout the day to remove litter, debris, pet waste and keep common areas tidy.
• Clear trash from vacant units before the make‑ready process and maintain storage areas.
• Perform minor service requests assigned by the Service Supervisor or Community Manager and assist with unit turn‑over activities.
• Change locks according to policy and verify that pool gates and other safety features operate correctly.
• Distribute resident notices and communicate relevant information as needed.
• Report hazards or unsafe conditions to supervisors promptly.
• Provide courteous customer service, answer resident questions and address maintenance‑related complaints.
• Follow Greystar safety and risk‑management policies, attend safety meetings and complete required OSHA training.

Required profile

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, climb ladders and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
• Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Physical capability to lift, carry and move objects as required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on the property.
• Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
