Grounds Crew – Field Operations (Part‑Time)

About the role

Join the Field Operations team at Petco Park and help maintain the San Diego Padres playing surface to Major League Baseball standards. This part‑time position focuses on daily field upkeep, ensuring a safe and high‑quality environment for players and fans.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the pitcher’s mound, bullpen mounds, and home‑plate area to MLB specifications.
• Perform daily care of the warning‑track surface and prepare the infield, plate, mound, and warning‑track before games.
• Set up and remove batting‑practice equipment and handle post‑game field tasks such as clearing clay, prepping patches, and cleaning debris.
• Oversee non‑baseball events on the field, including corporate dinners, concerts, and graduations.
• Continuously improve knowledge of field upkeep, ballpark operations, and Padres standards.
