Grooming Salon Leader

About the role

The Grooming Salon Leader will oversee daily operations of Petsense’s grooming salon, ensuring high standards of service, safety, and profitability. This role combines hands‑on dog grooming with team leadership, inventory management, and customer engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day salon activities, including scheduling, safety checklists, and audit compliance.
• Maintain cleanliness and SOP adherence, placing monthly supply orders within budget.
• Assist in hiring, onboarding, and training new groomers and technicians.
• Communicate sales performance and operational updates to the salon team and Store Manager.
• Drive salon growth through customer outreach, appointment scheduling, community events, and partnerships with rescue groups.
• Coach and develop team members, reviewing performance metrics and providing feedback.
• Perform professional grooming services for dogs, applying appropriate techniques for each breed.
• Ensure safe pet handling, inspect animals for health concerns, and follow sanitization protocols.
