About the role

The Greeter at RWB Thrift is the first point of contact for shoppers, creating a welcoming atmosphere while supporting loss‑prevention efforts. You will greet customers, enforce store policies and help maintain a safe shopping environment.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and welcome customers as they enter the store, providing a friendly first impression.
• Monitor the sales floor to identify and address potential loss‑prevention issues.
• Ask customers to leave large bags or backpacks at the counter in accordance with store policy.
• Answer customer questions and direct them to appropriate areas of the store.
• Collaborate with staff to report incidents and address loss‑prevention concerns.
• Maintain a visible presence at the entrance to deter theft.
• Follow safety procedures and adhere to store policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Previous experience in customer service or retail preferred.
• Awareness of loss‑prevention best practices.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 25 lb, and move around the store.
• Capability to handle stressful situations calmly.
